OODALOOP Technologies is looking for a Software Engineer to join our R&D team. We're a fast-growing Nordic defence tech company developing and mass-producing pilot-assisted, expendable drone systems at scale.
Europe’s adversaries are ahead in unmanned defence technology innovation and mass production capacity. Europe must build domestic resilience to equip our authorities with the unmanned capabilities of the future. We founded OODALOOP to close the gap and deliver strategic capabilities at scale — true to our vision: equip every defender of Europe.
With increased demand for our drone systems, we're now looking to strengthen our R&D team centrally based in the drone og robotics cluster of Odense, Denmark.
Responsibilities
Software development for a subset of the following:

Embedded MCUs (STM32) running some sort of autopilot software (Betaflight, Ardupilot, PX4, INAV, etc), or peripheral devices (ESC, Radio/Video, ELRS, mLRS)

Embedded Linux (RPi, NVIDIA Jetson, etc) running companion applications for UAV/Drone
-
Desktop Linux (Ubuntu), UI/UX ground control applications and tolls (QGroundcontrol, etc)
Set up and maintain:
-
Internal CI/CD, reproducible builds, mass deployments
-
Parameter/configuration management
-
Log/dataset storage, visualization and analysis tools
-
Simulation, test and validation environments
Potentially take ownership of the whole software domain and lead it forward
Qualifications
We are looking for a team member with a subset of the following:
-
C++/C, Python, Linux, Bash is a must
-
Docker, containers, CI/CD and overall DevOps mindset

Finished projects and hands-on knowledge in the area of UAS/FPV
-
Experience from relevant fields such as game industry, 3D graphics, rocess automation, motor control, sensor data processing, DSP

Networking and general Linux system administration

Background in Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Digital Signal Processing, Control Theory

Overall good score on Math, Linear Algebra, Physics

We're running a flat organization with teams in Odense and Aarhus collaborating daily on tasks within R&D, product development, customer engagement and team activities. We're tech-savvy and bring very different backgrounds and experiences into our team. We have the ability to invest as needed and feel the responsibility to give our part in bringing a sense of security back to Europe.
Employment require that the employee must be able to obtain a security clearance by the Danish Defense Intelligence Service. This entails among other that the employee's full household as a minimum have stayed within NATO/EU countries for the last 7 years only interrupted by short stays abroad and that none of the full household members have committed serious criminal offences.
We're open for hybrid work on a case by case basis.
